JOB DESCRIPTION
Welder fabricator
Department: Workshop
Location: Spitfire Engineering Services, Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Reports to: Workshop Team Leader
Hours: Monday to Thursday (4-day week)
Salary: £36,500 to £50,000+pa* *dependant on experience
Our core business is to design and build cool machines predominantly in the recycling industry.
From our workshops here at Brixworth we take in raw materials and turn them into fully working machines.
A lot of our work is bespoke and no 2 days are the same.

Experienced welder and fabricator.- Ability to read technical drawings.

So what will your typical day look like?
5.55 - Arrive at workshop and put on overalls and boots.
6.00 - Attend daily briefing.
6.10 - Sort sweep and standardise your work area (we practice lean manufacturing)
Make any improvements to your welding area you want to make.
6.30 - Start work building whatever project you are working on.
9.30 - First tea break of the day. Sandwich van also comes around at this time if needed.
10.00 - Back to work, Maybe working together with a colleague.
13.00 - Lunch break.
13.30 - Attend a start up meeting for a new project coming up. This is where you will find out about a new project we are starting and we go through the build process and any technical details you need to know.
14.00 - Back in the workshop carrying on with the current project you are working on.
17.55 - Finish for the day. Turn the welder and gas off. Check for fires. Take off overalls and boots and wash your hands.
18.00 - Finish the day and head home.

What else do you need to know..
We are based on a farm in Brixworth, this is where you will come to collect parts for the work you do.
Paid holidays and Bank Holidays
We pay a full time salary but you only work Monday to Thursday - Fridays can be an option for overtime if you want it.
We have two social events throughout the year for you and your partner to let your hair down on us !
